Founded in 1988, by Daniel Chávez Morán in honor of his mother Delia Morán, the Delia Morán Vidanta Foundation is dedicated to honoring her life spent as a teacher in Mexico.

This non-profit foundation was created to provide educational services—including a daily curriculum that covers academics, athletics, drama, and arts—as well as medical services and access to nutritional meals for children in low-income areas in Riviera Nayarit. The Delia Morán Vidanta Foundation Educational Center in Nuevo Vallarta was founded in 2013 and offers a comprehensive scholastic program to 153 students between the ages of 6 and 12. Focusing on scholastic enrichment, values, extracurricular activities, and health, this state-of-the-art facility has provided life-changing programs and services to more than 500 children and 1,000 families. Professor Morán’s vision is perpetuated through the extensive offerings of this eponymous foundation.

At the Delia Morán Vidanta Foundation, children are provided with the support they need to reach their true potential via extracurricular programs and services, helping them overcome obstacles and preparing them for a future based on equal opportunity. The curriculum includes a wide range of subjects such as English, math, arts, technology, and athletics. The driving philosophy is that this is a crucial time frame in childhood development as the learning skills and values acquired in this period impact their ability to progress academically and socially throughout their life.
